About the Artist
Hi! I'm Emily!
I'm a comic artist and illustrator from New York.
I take inspiration from every-day life in big cities. I love architecture, food, and street fashion! I also take inspiration from spooky things and bulky old tech. I like to capture the every day, human experience in my work, even if it's a story about magical people or historical figures from centuries ago. My biggest artistic inspirations are Tite Kubo, Yusuke Nakamura, and Ai Yazawa.
Most of my work is sketched on paper and finished digitally in Photoshop CC with a Wacom Cintiq drawing tablet. My traditional work is usually done in marker, pen, ink, gauche, or colored pencil.
I hold a BFA in Fine Art with a minor in Art History from the Fashion Institute of Technology and am an alum of the School of Visual Arts' Illustration Residency.
